On August 29, the Plan Commission voted against the Albion-Sammons proposal. It now heads to the Board of Trustees. They will begin (and possibly end) discussion of Albion at their meeting on Monday, October 2, 7:15 p.m. at Village Hall. Details are in the offical agenda--including a last-minute tweak of Albion's proposal, shown in item 12 of Attachments.
COME TO THE BOARD MEETING. Severe restrictions have been placed on public comments--only three opponents will be premitted to speak. However, you can E-MAIL your comments to the trustees at board@oak-park.us . You can PRINT AND BRING YOUR COMMENTS to hand to the trustees in person. And you are still entitled to make a 3-minute "non-agenda" comment that does not refer specifically to the Albion proposal.
It requires a two-thirds vote of the trustees to override the Plan Commission and approve the Albion proposal. That means that if any three trustees vote no, it will be stopped. That is a real possibility.
